PASTOR JOSEPH & FAMILY
Pastor Joseph & Angel's Testimony:
When God called Moses to ministry (Exodus 3:11), Moses resisted the calls because he didn't feel he could do what God wanted him to do. He asked, "Who am I that I should go to pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt? Moses argued that he was "slow of speech and slow of tongue (Exodus 4:10). As far back as 1984, when I was in class three (secondary school) my teacher, a servant of God, called me and told me that God wants to use me as His servant to pass the message across to His people. Reluctantly I told him is not possible. To me everything he said did not make sense, but he insisted that "whether you like it or not the prophecy must come to pass."
In September 2002, God started working in me and through me to fulfil the prophecy of the servant of God in my life. Indeed, God is a master planner. He took me out of plenty under the pretext that I am travelling abroad for greener pastures. Unknowingly to me He had a different plan to accomplished His purpose (There are many plans in a man's heart, nevertheless the Lord's counsel that will stand. Proverbs 19:21).
I moved to the country of Senegal but it turned out that life was so unbearable there. Countless times I tried to travel to no avail. At the end of it all, I got stranded and all hope was lost. During my six months in Senegal, I saw myself drawing close to God. Another arrangement was in place for me to travel to Freetown (Sierra Leone ) since it was difficult for me to travel from Senegal . Things didn't work out in Free Town so I decided to return to Senegal. I boarded a ferry from Free Town to Guinea Conakry. I will never forget that day in the history of my life. Everywhere was crowded in the boat and no there was no place for me to sit, so I was left with no choice than to remain outside the boat. It was raining and very cold and I was asking myself, why not end it here? This is not what you planed for; why not jump into the sea and forget about this miserable life?
January 2003, I surrendered to Jesus in Guinea Conakry. And funny enough people started calling me a pastor because they always see me with a Bible. That's when it occurred to me that the prophecy is fulfilled. Thereafter, I never looked back. I did a pastoral course for three years, and was ordained as a full time minister of the gospel. Halleluiah!
If God has called you to minister, He hasn't made a mistake. He knows what He's doing, and the best thing you can do is gratefully submit to His will.
Yours in Christ
